We will be house-sitting at a friends place over Christmas, and thus our own apartment will be available to rent from the 19th to the 29th of December. As well, we ourselves are going on holiday from January 8th to the 15th, and thus our apartment will also be available then.
The price is �60 per night, minimum of 3 nights, or �550 for the entire 10 night stay over Christmas or �370 for the entire 7 night stay in January.

Our apartment is on a very quiet and small street near a canal, but within a short walk to the Anne Frank museum, the Saturday farmer's market at the Noordemarkt, many cozy caf�s, restaurants, cinemas and flea markets. We are right at the border between the famous Jordaan and Westerpark nieghborhoods.

Our apartment is perfect for a couple or small family. It has:

- 1 bedroom with a double bed (loft bed)
- a large living room with 2 huge couches that can also serve as extra beds
- a garden
- a bathtub (sooo nice after a long day in the cold rain...)

We have two very good friends who take care of the apartment when we are in NY, and are wonderfully helpful. They will meet you with the keys, and explain everything you need to know about the apt. About our apartment
People always think our classy and cosy apartment is over 65 square meters That is probably because it is so light and has high ceilings (but to be honest it is 50 square meters). As said, it�s located right in the middle of one of the characterful Nine Streets, but is still very quiet at the same time. Only a few steps away from our doors you will find cool restaurants, typical Dutch bars and fancy shops. We are located between 5star hotels such as The Pullitzer and The Dylan.

It is an easy trip to Central Station or anywhere with three tram lines, and several buses right outside the door on the Westermarkt. The street has several cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket. The neighborhood(the Jordaan) has many boutique type interesting shops as well as neighborhood stores. The building is clean, and secure with two apartments on each floor. It is a very convenient area in the heart of the historic district.

We have two very good friends who take care of the apartment, and are wonderfully helpful. They will meet you with the keys, and explain eveything you need to know about the apartment. They live a few blocks away, and are most always available. The rent is E1800 a month which includes electricity, gas, cable, and water. The apartment is right downtown along a canal. It's next to the Housebootmuseum and 5 walking minutes to the Dam square, Leidseplein and Anne Frank house. You will see lots of people on bikes, especially at rush hour. Tourists too, walking by. And people off to go window shopping in the famous '9 streets' that are on the other side of the canal. Most cars and all the trams and busses use the bigger road that runs parallel to the canal at a safe distance from home, thus far enough away to hear and see that traffic.

The house is 4 meters (12 ft) wide, and goes back 20 meters (60 ft). It is very spacious. After exploring town you can take a bath, use the internet to write friends, sit on the private balcony (cold!), watch TV, read a book in the study, make yourself dinner in the pretty kitchen, get something to eat at a restaurant close by or simply enjoy sitting on the couch or comfy rug. Just look out of the window (2nd floor) to experience the activity on the canal.
