Cerberus is an old houseboat located right in the city centre. You find the boat in one of Amsterdam�s larger canals, called the �Singel�. A five minutes walk takes you to Amsterdam Central Station, Dam Square, the Anne Frank House and nearly all the other tourist attractions. Cerberus is no five star hotel but it is the ideal cheap relaxing holiday accommodation for small groups of friends or backpackers, who do not mind sharing a bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are shared with the friendly owner who has a bedroom in his private quarters. The owner is a qualified guide who has lived in Amsterdam for over 15 years and is more than happy to tell you all about it. Children, pets and country music are not allowed, with the exception of Johnny Cash.

Cerberus is by no means luxurious but it has all the basic amenities. The guests have their own entrance. A small corridor gives access to the colorful bedroom, shared bathroom with shower and toilet and the kitchen. The bedroom is furnished with two nice and clean bunk beds, sleeping four, a little desk with PC with free high speed access to the internet and a stereo. There are plenty of games in your room like table-football (foosball), air-hockey, pool, roulette and many more. Guests also have full use of the kitchen with an oven, fridge, microwave and perhaps most important of all a dishwasher. You can make your own coffee and tea (free of charge) and also use the washing machine. When the weather is nice you can relax on the roof terrace and catch a tan or just watch all the people sailing, rowing or walking by.

We will be house-sitting at a friends place over Christmas, and thus our own apartment will be available to rent from the 19th to the 29th of December. We ourselves are going on holiday from January 8th to the 15th, and thus it wil also be available then.
The price is �60 per night (minimum of 3 nights) or �550 for the entire 10 night stay over Christmas or �370 for the entire 7 night stay in January.

Our apartment is on a very quiet and small street near a canal, but within a short 10 minute walk to the Anne Frank museum, the Saturday farmer's market at the Noordemarkt, many cozy caf�s, restaurants, cinemas and flea markets. We are right at the border between the famous Jordaan and Westerpark nieghborhoods.

Our apartment is perfect for a couple or small family. It has:

- 1 bedroom with a double bed (loft bed)
- a large living room with 2 huge couches that can also serve as extra beds
- a garden
- a bathtub (sooo nice after a long day in the cold rain...)

Are you planning a trip with your children? In that case you could not do better than selecting this apartment! All stairs (including the one leading to the loft) have stair gates and a wireless baby phone is available.

Neighbourhood and location
The apartment is really in the middle of it all. lt is located within the heart of the city and is close to chic trendy restaurants, major museums, the Anne Frank House, the red light district, the Amstel River and the world famous Carr� theatre. The apartment is only minutes away from the popular Utrechtsestraat with its trendy, individual shops, bars and restaurants. The Rembrandt Square area is also well known for its hip nightclubs and terrace bars.
This centrally located apartment in the Canal Belt, is on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor of an original 18th century canal house.
It is a truly relaxing home to enjoy a marvellous stay in the heart of Amsterdam.
Tramline 4 (stop: Prinsengracht) from and to Central Station is truly within a one-minute walk from the apartment.

Living area with open kitchen
The living/dining area on the 2nd floor is decorated with impressive canvasses of well known Amsterdam artist Aat den Ouden. It has a large open fireplace, a double sleeper sofa, flat screen TV, DVD, and a free ADSL Internet connection. The dining table can seat 6 people (an additional table is nearby against the wall in case you need extra seating).
The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, various electronic devices, a big oven and a microwave. It contains a stove with 5 gas cookers, toaster, kettle and coffeemaker. There is a separate toilet in the hall.

Master bedroom and ensuite bathroom
The spacious light master bedroom on the 3rd floor has a king-size bed (180X200cm), side tables and lamps and closet storage. The glamorous en-suite bathroom contains a Jacuzzi bath,
separate shower, 2 washbasins, toilet and bidet.

Second bedroom and bathroom

Nicely furnished, newly renovated 1 bedroom apt on 4th floor(with lift) available from December 23 thru Jan. 3rd. The apt is bright, and spacious with 8 windows. The bedroom, and living room are separated by a nice sized corridor. Both rooms have doors so there is lots of privacy. The apt has two couches in the living room, and a queen size bed in the large bedroom. It is very comfortable, and attractive with lots of books and CDs. The view from the living room is of the Keizersgracht Canal, and the Wester Church. The bedroom looks out to gardens, and trees. It is located two blocks from the Anne Frank House in the City Centre.We have two flat screen TVs,(CNN& other English speaking stations), a new desktop computer, printer/copier, DVD player, wi-fi, and high speed internet. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and all new appliances. The bathroom has a bathtub, and there is a separate toilet.

It is an easy trip to Central Station with three tram lines, and several bus lines right outside the door. The street has several cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket next door. The neighborhood(The Jordaan) has many unique, boutique type shops, as well as convenient neighborhood stores. The building is clean, and secure with two apartments on each floor. It is a very convenient area in the heart of the historic district.

We have two very good friends who take care of the apartment when we are in NY, and are wonderfully helpful. They will meet you with the keys, and explain everything you need to know about the apt. They live a few blocks away, are are most always available. The rent is E800 for 10 days which includes electricity, gas, cable. and water. I am offering my much loved 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of �De Pijp�, Amsterdam�s funkiest neighbourhood, for a week over Christmas.

The flat is a stones throw from the Albert Cuyp market and all the fantastic bars and restaurants that the area is becoming famous for. It�s less than ten minutes bike ride to the Dam Square.

It consists of 1 double bedroom, a dressing room that doubles up as a guest bedroom when needed, a bathroom with shower and bath, a kitchen, and a sitting-room with french doors leading to a balcony. Check out the pics. All mod cons included : TV, DVD, Internet access, washing machine etc etc.

It's about 9 (short) tram stops from Central Station (about 3.5 km or less than 2 miles), tram-line 9 stops in front of the door! My house dates from 1905, charming entrance with a "wild" garden (not ornamented but charming). My apartment is located on the 3rd floor (you have to hike up 3 steep stairs) very dutch, NO LIFT!

The Oosterpark is across the street, one of Amsterdam nicest city parks. Wonderful place if you like to go for a walk, picnic or just read a book under the shadow of a tree. There is often something happening in the park during the summer months, please follow this link for more information:

Nicely furnished, newly renovated 1 bedroom apt on 4th floor(with lift) available from December 23 thru Jan. 3rd. The apt is bright, and spacious with 8 windows. The bedroom, and living room are separated by a nice sized corridor. Both rooms have doors so there is lots of privacy. The apt has two couches in the living room, and a queen size bed in the large bedroom. It is very comfortable, and attractive with lots of books and CDs. The view from the living room is of the Keizersgracht Canal, and the Wester Church. The bedroom looks out to gardens, and trees. It is located two blocks from the Anne Frank House in the City Centre.We have two flat screen TVs,(CNN& other English speaking stations), a new desktop computer, printer/copier, DVD player, wi-fi, and high speed internet. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and all new appliances. The bathroom has a bathtub, and there is a separate toilet.

It is an easy trip to Central Station with three tram lines, and several bus lines right outside the door. The street has several cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket next door. The neighborhood(The Jordaan) has many unique, boutique type shops, as well as convenient neighborhood stores. The building is clean, and secure with two apartments on each floor. It is a very convenient area in the heart of the historic district.

We have two very good friends who take care of the apartment when we are in NY, and are wonderfully helpful. They will meet you with the keys, and explain everything you need to know about the apt. They live a few blocks away, are are most always available. The rent is E900 for 10 days which includes electricity, gas, cable. and water.
